On behalf of Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP), we welcome you to participate in the 2013 CIOMP-OSA Summer Session on Optical Engineering, Design and Manufacturing, August 4-9, in Changchun, Jilin, China! In a beautiful summer time, the second summer session of CIOMP-OSA is coming. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to host the summer session in our institute on such a pleasant season.
By attracting excellent graduate students in the field of Optical Engineering from all over the world, 2013 CIOMP-OSA Summer Session is providing an international platform for learning and exchanging information on recent advances and future trends for the participants.
Our institute had been honored as “The Cradle of China’s Optics” due to its great contributions to China’s optical research and engineering, as well as its impact on science and technology development, economic construction and social progress. We have established extensive scientific collaboration and long term exchange programs with more than 30 countries, as well as multi-aspect cooperation with many organizations, such as OSA, SPIE, ICO and NPG. We welcome all friends over the world to visit our institute. We believe that, through the visit, we can advance the future collaboration and promote the research and engineering for the Optical community. Welcome Letter from 2013 OSA President
As I learned during my visit in September 2012, the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) is the cradle of optics in China. OSA is delighted to collaborate with such a prestigious center of optics to again host a summer school program in August 2013. The 2013 CIOMP/OSA Joint Summer Session on Optical Engineering, Design and Manufacturing promises to deliver top education, lectures from the leading experts in the field and ample networking opportunities held on the campus of one of China’s leading optics institutes.
